Life can’t be done alone. The church is a place for people to connect with God and others. We strive to be a place where you can find friends to support and encourage you along the journey.

We are a gathering of what the Bible calls disciples. Disciples are people who want to know Him, study His teaching and apply His character and love in their own lives. If church were a restaurant, discipleship is the main course. That’s why we are committed to providing tools and opportunities for you to pursue Jesus and grow to be more like Him.

Unlike membership at a gym or a country club, church membership is relational. It’s an individual commitment to be a part of the whole church body. Together, we pursue the unique mission that God has given Journey Bible Church. There are four steps to becoming a member of Journey Bible Church.

The membership process includes a 3-week membership class called Join the Journey, a complete membership application and an interview with two of our elders. C contact John Blackburn regarding becoming a member of Journey Bible Church.

Baptism represents the transforming work God does in us when we receive His forgiveness and give our lives to Him. We have a new life in Jesus, and we desire to passionately obey and honor God.

There is nothing magical about baptism, but rather it serves as a declaration and example to others and reminds others of what Jesus did on our behalf.

We practice immersion baptism — when a person goes fully into the water being buried in the likeness of Jesus’ death. When he rises out of the water, the person is being raised to new life through Jesus Christ. We believe this is the best picture of the amazing work of grace God offers us.

If you would like to know more about baptism or if you are interested in being baptized, fill out this simple form.

Discipleship works best when we learn alongside others. Life Groups meet in homes and workplaces around the area to study the bible and develop and nurture relationships with other Christ-followers – because we all need someone in our corner as we live life. Interested in connecting in a Life Group near you? Contact Colin Murphy.

Life Group leaders and members can access your group information and study resources through the Groups portal.

Men, don’t miss this year’s Men’s Fraternity — a 20-week study designed just for you.

This year’s focus is called The Great Adventure . Life should be an adventure, but too often it seems tiring, even boring. The Great Adventure challenges you to break free from the bondage of boredom and begin the great adventure that God has uniquely designed for you. A required component of this study is “Servants by Design,” an online personality assessment that will help you understand your natural strengths and the environments in which you thrive.

Registration is closed for this year’s Men’s Frat as it is designed for participants to start at the beginning of a session. We invite you to come back and register for Men’s Frat next August before the next session.

Women’s discipleship training seeks to equip you for the challenges discipleship can present, whether you are new to discipleship or have been engaging in the work for some time.  Our desire is to equip disciplers. One way that is accomplished is through six week modules offered on Thursday’s at 6:30 pm and Sunday mornings at 10:30 am. They are offered six weeks at a time in the fall, winter, and spring.

Contact Pat Anderson for more dates, location, and content details.

Encouraging a Healthy Pulse of Influence

Pulse is a weekend designed specifically to help you get away, be encouraged, and continue reflecting and developing personally! This Friday night and Saturday retreat will be hosted at a local hotel, the Hilton Garden Inn of Olathe, so that we can maximize our time defining your personal values while also developing relationships.

Every woman is an influencer whether we have identified that or not. Some have wide spheres of influence while some have narrow and deep spheres of influence. Whatever your reach and roles, we want to help you maximize and identify the importance of your influence. This begins with who you are and not just what you do and so this weekend will help you with that very thing, impacting what you do.

Get more details and register.
