CONNECT+DISCIPLESHIP

Life can’t be done alone. The church is a place for people to connect with God and others. We strive to be a place where you can find friends to support and encourage you along the journey.

We are a gathering of what the Bible calls disciples. Disciples are people who want to know Him, study His teaching and apply His character and love in their own lives. If church were a restaurant, discipleship is the main course. That’s why we are committed to providing tools and opportunities for you to pursue Jesus and grow to be more like Him.

EXPLORE THE JOURNEY NEW ATTENDERS LUNCH

If you are new to Journey Bible Church, the first step in connecting is to join us for one of our Explore the Journey New Attenders Lunches that take place on a Sunday each month at 11:45am in the Fellowship Hall. Lunch is on us while you get to hear about the people, the mission and ministries of Journey. Learn more and sign up for the next lunch.

BAPTISM

Baptism represents the transforming work God does in us when we receive His forgiveness and give our lives to Him. We have a new life in Jesus, and we desire to passionately obey and honor God.

There is nothing magical about baptism, but rather it serves as a declaration and example to others and reminds others of what Jesus did on our behalf.

We practice immersion baptism — when a person goes fully into the water being buried in the likeness of Jesus’ death. When he rises out of the water, the person is being raised to new life through Jesus Christ. We believe this is the best picture of the amazing work of grace God offers us.

If you would like to know more about baptism or if you are interested in being baptized, fill out this simple form.

CONNECTING CAFÉ
Sundays | 9am | Fellowship Hall

For men and women of all ages, the Connecting Café is great place for those searching for a group Bible study and discussion on Sunday mornings. This fall, we’ll be studying the book of Romans together. This key book in the New Testament lays out a beautiful picture of the Gospel, what it means to be a disciple of Jesus and how to apply our relationship with Christ in our daily lives. Contact Mike Johnson for more information.

JOIN THE FAMILY THROUGH MEMBERSHIP

Unlike membership at a gym or a country club, church membership is relational. It’s an individual commitment to be a part of the whole church body. Together, we pursue the unique mission that God has given Journey Bible Church. There are four steps to becoming a member of Journey Bible Church.

The membership process includes a 3-week membership class called Join the Journey, a complete membership application and an interview with two of our elders. Contact Connections Pastor Jeff Lubeck regarding becoming a member of Journey Bible Church.

Sign up for the next Join the Journey session.

SMALL GROUPS FOR ADULTS

Discipleship works best when we learn alongside others. Life Groups meet in homes and workplaces around the area to study the bible and develop and nurture relationships with other Christ-followers – because we all need someone in our corner as we live life. Interested in connecting in a Life Group near you? Contact Mark Dodd, Life Groups Pastor.
