Foster & Adoption Ministry

This ministry walks alongside families who are anywhere on the journey of adopting and fostering — whether you are considering adoption and fostering or you’ve been involved for years. We provide a community for prayer, encouragement, education and even financial assistance. We also work to engage the church body in making disciples by caring for the orphan both locally and globally. Join us for our monthly gathering called FAM Night. Be sure to join our Facebook Group as well.

For more information, contact Troy and Amity Kaeb.

DivorceCare

No one understands the pain of divorce and separation better than those who have gone through it. Divorce Care is a divorce support group designed to help and encourage people who are in all stages of divorce. Meetings are casual and relaxed. They are a safe environment where everyone has opportunity to share as we learn together. Divorce Care is a nationwide ministry that uses a 13-week long, video-taught curriculum.

For more information about Divorce Care at Journey Bible Church and to RSVP for our next meeting, please contact Shannon Phipps. Visit the Divorce Care website to learn more about this nationwide ministry.

GriefShare Grief Support Group

Few things in life can match the pain of losing someone you love. A family member. A friend. The hurt goes deep, and it can be confusing and tough to know what to do next. If you have recently lost someone close to you, our hearts ache for you, and we want to help. GriefShare is a biblically-based grief support group for men and women. It provides both comfort and practical tools for dealing with your grief. Contact Mike McGowan for information about the next session.

Prayer Group

There is nothing stronger. There is nothing more readily available. Share your requests with as well as pray for others in our Facebook Prayer Group.

Special Connections Special Needs Ministry

Journey Bible Church has a ministry called Special Connections that is designed to serve children and adults who have special needs in a variety of ways.

“Guardian Angels” help kids with special needs to participate in Sunday and weekly kids classes at Journey Bible Church. We pair your child with a trained volunteer for individual assistance and teaching so that you may participate in adult worship.

Regularly scheduled Respite Nights give caregivers an opportunity to go on a date, shop or whatever they need while trained volunteers watch their children and adult dependents at the church.

For more information, contact Natalie Kolenda, Special Connections Director.
